The U.S. Cannabis Spot Index decreased by 0.1% to $1,034 per pound.

Indoor grown cannabis flower in California reached its highest price assessment since December 2024 this week, gaining 12.3% per pound. A rise in prepackaged indoor flower product prices, along with an increase in the total volume of transactions, drove the grow type category price assessment increase. Sales of bulk outdoor grown flower priced in the lower quartile pushed the California Outdoor Cannabis Spot Index down 4.4% and held the state composite price to a 0.4% gain.
The upper level of prices for indoor grown flower in Colorado continues to climb as more prepackaged products are being purchased by recreational dispensaries. This week the Colorado Indoor Cannabis Spot Index increased by 3.7% per pound, its highest price assessment since May of last year. Dispensaries in the state have predominantly offered a la carte sales of cannabis flower with consumers unaware of who cultivated the products (except in dispensaries that are supplied by their own grows), and the increase in wholesale activity for higher-priced prepackaged flower products shows signs of a shift towards consumer recognition of brands and the consistency and product quality that they offer.
The Vermont Cannabis Spot Index climbed to its highest mark since the beginning of March, gaining 13.1% per pound this week. Prices increased across all grow types, with both greenhouse and outdoor grown flower prices rising by over 16%. For both the greenhouse and outdoor indexes, the increases were driven by rising prices for bulk flower products. The state indoor index increase was the result of a 6.7% rise in prepackaged flower product pricing.
December 2025 Implied Forward initially assessed at $995 per pound.
At $995 per pound, the July Implied Forward represents a discount of 3.8% relative to the current U.S. Spot Price of $1,034 per pound. During the month of July in 2024, the U.S. Spot Index ranged from a low of $974 to a high of $1,014.
