Maryland wholesale cannabis flower prices climbed another 8% this week, yet the June average is down more than 11% from May’s average price per pound.
The price per pound of indoor grown flower in Illinois continues a downward trend, with the current average price 13% lower than in May.
Oklahoma saw a large percentage increase in pricing this week due to a reduction in lower priced greenhouse flower transactions that had impacted overall price trends in the past several weeks.
At $999 per pound, the U.S. Spot Index is down 7.2% this year from the 2023 closing price of $1,077, and averaging $1,024 per pound. The low of $991 and the high of $1,072 were established just two weeks apart, on March 8th and March 22nd, respectively. Year-to-date, the U.S. Spot Index remains in an $81 range. For the same period last year, the Index averaged $1,012 and spanned a range of $144 (with a low of $952 and a high of $1,096).
July 2024 Implied Forward assessed down $10 to $1,040 per pound.
At $1,040 per pound, the July Implied Forward represents a premium of 4.2% relative to the current U.S. Spot Price of $999 per pound.
