Wholesale cannabis flower prices in Maine rose 2.1% per pound this week. Both bulk and prepackaged indoor flower prices increased this week, offsetting declining prices for prepackaged greenhouse flower.
Wholesale cannabis flower prices in Maryland continue to rebound after opening the year on a downswing. This week the state composite index increased by 1.5% per pound. The January average is down 5.9% from the December 2024 average and 4.7% below the 2024 average wholesale flower price per pound.
The New Mexico Cannabis Spot Index suffered a 6.9% per pound loss this week to close out January. Price declines were present across all grow types, with indoor flower prices losing 4.8%, greenhouse flower prices down 1.5%, and outdoor grown flower declining 1.1%. Despite the weekly decline in the state composite index, the January average price per pound is 5.8% higher than the December 2024 average.
The Massachusetts Cannabis Spot Index held steady this week, gaining a mere 0.2% per pound to close the month. The spread between indoor and greenhouse grown flower prices shrunk to just $8 in favor of indoor flower this week. The Massachusetts Greenhouse Cannabis Spot Index had positive movement for the 3rd week in a row, up over 25% since an all-time low price in the final week of 2024. This week’s greenhouse flower price assessment is the highest since September 13, 2024.
February 2025 Implied Forward assessed up $10 to close at $955 per pound.
At $955 per pound, the closing February Implied Forward is at parity with the current U.S. Spot Price of $955 per pound. The Forward curve was assessed up with feedback from the field suggesting largely stable prices ahead of a seasonal summer uptick.
