The Massachusetts Cannabis Spot Index had its second week in a row of positive movement, gaining 6.0% per pound this week. Both indoor and greenhouse grown flower pricing gains fueled the state composite increase. Robust demand for high priced prepackaged indoor flower continues while transactions for bulk indoor grown flower priced below $800 per pound are becoming more frequent.
Wholesale prices in Pennsylvania continue their downward trend, losing 1.3% per pound this week, marking another all-time low. The current state spot index is down over 37% since the 2024 high price of $1,991 per pound on May 17th, 2024.
The Vermont Cannabis Spot Index rose 6.9% per pound this week on strong performance across all grow types. Both indoor and outdoor grown flower prices rose over 2%, while greenhouse grown flower pricing was up 4.4%.
February 2025 Implied Forward assessed up $15 to $945 per pound.
At $945 per pound, the February Implied Forward is at parity with the current U.S. Spot Price of $945 per pound. At 20%, outdoor forward transactions represent 50% less than one year ago when they were 30% of forward deals.
