
The U.S. Cannabis Spot Index decreased by 3.2% to $1,098 per pound.
In grams, the Spot price was $2.42.
Led by a 10.5% per pound loss for indoor grown flower pricing, the California Cannabis Spot Index fell by 12.6% per pound this week. While prices for greenhouse and outdoor grown flower were relatively steady, a 4.2% price decrease for prepackaged indoor flower transactions, which make up a large percentage of total transactions recorded in the state, drove both the state composite and indoor grow type losses.
The Illinois Cannabis Spot Index declined for the 5th straight week to hit the low for the year. The state index lost 3.3% per pound. Since July 4th, the state index has shed 12.2% and has remained below the year-to-date average during the downward trend.
While indoor grown flower prices in New Jersey remained nearly flat this week, the New Jersey Greenhouse Cannabis Index lost 3.6% per pound. This week’s price assessment for mixed-light flower marks two weeks in a row that it has fallen below the 2025 average.
The Montana Cannabis Spot Index increased by 3.5% per pound this week. The state indoor index gained 4.2%, while the state greenhouse index rose by 5.6%. This is the 4th week in a row that the state index has increased and is now 5.8% above the 2025 average .

September 2026 Implied Forward unchanged at $1,065 per pound.
At $1,065 per pound, the Sept. Implied Forward represents a discount of 3.0% relative to the current U.S. Spot Price of $1,098 per pound. For context, the U.S. Spot Price averaged $967 in September 2024, a decline of 3.3% from the August 2024 average of $1,000.
