Cannabis Benchmarks U.S. Spot Price History & Forward Curve April 17, 2026

The U.S. Cannabis Spot Index increased 0.4% to $1,063 per pound.

In grams, the Spot price was $2.34.


After hitting a low for the year, the Michigan Cannabis Spot Index jumped up by 16.3% per pound this week. Wholesale prices for cannabis flower grown in all environments were on the rise. Pricing for bulk flower transactions, led by an 8.0% increase for bulk outdoor grown flower, relieved much of the downward pressure that had been pushing the state index on a downward trend since mid-February.

We are pleased to announce the addition of the Mississippi Cannabis Spot Index to our weekly reporting. The first official price assessment for the state positions indoor grown flower at $2,193 per pound. Since the beginning of the year, the state index has risen by over 7.0%.

Wholesale cannabis prices in Ohio declined for the third straight week, dragging the Ohio Cannabis Spot Index down 9.9%. This week’s state index sits just 5.2% below the 2026 YTD average price per pound.

May 2026 Implied Forward unchanged at $1,080 per pound.

At $1,080 per pound, the May 2026 Implied Forward represents a premium of 1.6% relative to the current U.S. Spot Index of $1,063 per pound.
