The Colorado Cannabis Spot Index saw an increase of 3.2% per pound this week. Wholesale prices across all grow types experienced positive gains during the first full week of April, with outdoor flower prices rising the most at 6.6%. The state index is now 3.8% higher than the 2025 average.
Indoor grown flower prices in Illinois rose significantly this week, pushing the Illinois Cannabis Spot Index up 10.4% per pound. The rise can mainly be attributed to a 13.2% increase in the volume weighted average price of prepackaged flower products, while climbing bulk flower transaction prices also contributed, increasing by 2.5% this week.
Wholesale flower prices in Maine declined this week, with the Maine Cannabis Spot Index losing 1.8% per pound. This week saw indoor grown flower prices retreating 2.2% per pound and greenhouse grown flower pricing declining by 8.6% per pound.
May 2025 Implied Forward unchanged at $970 per pound.
At $970 per pound, the April Implied Forward represents a premium of 3.3% relative to the current U.S. Spot Price of $939 per pound. In each of the past two years, the U.S. Spot Index rose more than 3% from the second week of April to the fourth week of April.
